Terracoin Video Series: Part 2

We are closing in on an awesome new website.  Our Wiki page is almost complete.  The new wallet is right around the corner.  Terracoin Services looks amazing.   We have one-click voting which makes our coin more accessible than ever.

It’s time to tell the world.

This proposal will help create the 2nd video in a 4-part animated video series that will introduce the world to Terracoin's mission statement.  The primary goal is to attract people who wouldn’t normally care about cryptocurrencies to investing in Terracoin and a better future for the world.  These are marketing videos, not technical videos.  The wiki will take care of those seeking technical information. These videos are intended to get people excited about the concept of Terracoin and our mission.

The script for Part 2 is below.  I plan to partner with the same Fiverr animator who helped create the 1st video which I’ve shared here: TERRACOIN: PART 1.  Click on the link to watch.

This is it.  Our moment is coming.  All ye who have stood by Terracoin and believe we can make the world a better place will finally get the chance to see it happen.  As new features are released and the marketing plan goes into full force, the price will climb and the proposals will start to pour in.

The final 2 videos will  explain how Terracoin plans to help make a better world and why Terracoin is different than other cryptocurrencies.  These will be the most important in the series, but we need all four videos to work as a whole:  First, make people question the idea of currency; Second, present an alternative version of currency; Third, show how currency can be used for the betterment of the world; Fourth, distinguish ourselves in the marketplace.  When contrasted against the inane forces of atrocities like Trumpcoin and Titcoin which seek to exploit the idea of cryptocurrencies to make a quick, meaningless buck, there will be a rallying of good forces that will carry us to the next level.

The 1st video ended up with hard costs of $358 and 500 TRC.  By today's prices, that is  2,605 TRC which is quite a bit more than the 1750 TRC I received.  Since, this script is actually a little longer than the first one and will cost more with the animator, I am requesting 2,750. I will provide receipts when the video is complete and if there is any excess, I will donate it to the Terracoin Foundation masternodes.

Let's make Terracoin the CURRENCY OF EARTH!

Thank you for your support!

TERRACOIN: PART 2

Since the dawn of civilization, societies have used various forms of currency to exchange goods and services: from goats, to grain, to stones, to knives, to beads, to coins, to paper.  Today, it has evolved into almost entirely ones and zeroes existing in a virtual world and backed by nothing but belief in its value. The question is: what do we want to believe?

Should we hand the cryptocurrency revolution over to the tiny fraction of people who control currency now and believe it exists to benefit themselves?  The bankers and the brokers and the governments that give them power?  The people that believe currency is a meant to enrich themselves beyond comprehension while people all over the world go without food and water and live in slums and are sold into slavery?  The world these people have created has concentrated 50% of the entire wealth of civilization into the hands of less than 1% of the population.

Terracoin rejects this world.  Terracoin knows the citizens of earth can do better.  And Terracoin has a plan to make it happen. The time has come for a currency with a conscience.  The time is now. Join the revolution. Your ideas will change the world.

Fascinating. On Sunday night i actually removed the bankers and brokers line, so I agree it is unnecessary to call out specific people. That said, income inequality is a very real thing. I do not believe people who have a net worth in the billions from brokering stocks or bank CEOs that push illegal schemes to sell unnecessary products have "earned" their riches. I think way more often than not, people are born into wealth and that wealth creates more wealth without any effort. When someone can afford to remodel their 4th yacht while people in the world starve or are sold for dollars into sex slavery, there is something seriously wrong with the status quo and my dream is for Terracoin to balance the scales. The 50% fact came from the the Credit Suisse Research Institute's Global Wealth Report which is the most comprehensive source of global household wealth information. It analyzes wealth held by 4.8 billion adults across the globe, from the least affluent to the wealthiest individuals. Now in its eighth edition, the report includes a focus on Millennials' wealth position and provides a comparison with earlier generations.

The following article analyzes the report:

Here is the new script by the way (less antagonistic, but retaining the general spirit):

Since the dawn of civilization, societies have used various forms of currency to exchange goods and services: from goats, to grain, to stones, to knives, to beads, to coins, to paper. Today, it has evolved into almost entirely ones and zeroes existing in a virtual world backed by nothing but belief in its value. The question is: what do we want to believe?

Should the cryptocurrency revolution be handed over to the tiny fraction of people who control currency now? The ones that believe currency is a meant to enrich themselves beyond comprehension while people all over the world go hungry?
And live in slums?
And are sold into slavery?
The world these people have created has concentrated 50% of the entire wealth of civilization into the hands of 1% of the population.

Terracoin rejects this world.
Terracoin believes the citizens of earth can do better.
And Terracoin has a plan to make it happen.

The time has come for a currency with a conscience. The time is now. Join the revolution. Your ideas will change the world.

Thank you for your great explanation!
I'm voting for your proposal.
Please keep in mind that as Edwards Deming shows with his famous Red Bead Experiment (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckBfbvOXDvU) the 95% of performance depends on system and maybe 5% on individual.
The rich people are not an exception here, they are performing in that way because the society is structured in a certain way and it's structured in certain way because it's an output of the previous setups.
The rich people do not mold this system, they are acting because of it if they wouldn't someone else would in their place.
So there is no reason to blame them.
The advent of cryptocurrencies let us conjecture that inside of this new system it will be possible to move differently. But of course we have to test it.

I think it would be pity if this proposal would not pass, but I'm very much concerned about the following period:
"Should we hand the cryptocurrency revolution over to the tiny fraction of people who control currency now and believe it exists to benefit themselves? The bankers and the brokers and the governments that give them power? The people that believe currency is a meant to enrich themselves beyond comprehension while people all over the world go without food and water and live in slums and are sold into slavery? The world these people have created has concentrated 50% of the entire wealth of civilization into the hands of less than 1% of the population.

Terracoin rejects this world."
I personally don't slightly care about 1% of population that has concentrated 50% of the worlds wealth. First of all who knows whether this "fact" is true? In the second place even if it was true if those money are made honestly and without harming other people there is no reason to hate people who has all that wealth. On the opposite, their richness should be seen as medal for all good things they did. I know someone may smile reading the previous sentence, but someone may begin to think: Why is it that everybody considers the rich people the evil ones?
And the answer is that the fiat money has an unresolved conflict in it. Which is that one can become rich doing good services (good) or making dirty businesses (bad), while the original idea of the money is to measure how useful was the action of one person from the point of view of the other people. This original idea is more and more betrayed in the modern world, to the point that if you ask the CEO of any company what he'd prefer to deliver good services or to make profits the answer will be obvious.
If the problem of measuring how good was the service, product, action of the person who delivered it were solved the rich people would be those who have done more good than the others. So nobody would be shocked by the fact that there is 1% of population that have 50% of wealth, everybody would be happy that those people exists.
TRC, and all the other crypto, do not solve the above problem, but TRC is the leader into that direction at the moment, and we are pioneers in it. The donation TRC certificates I spoke in my proposal: https://services.terracoin.io/p/TerracoinHelpsTheWorld1?id=21 (that by the way is still awaiting the votes in order to pass) will be one step nearer to the solution of the problem of the money paid for good, but maybe in the future someone will find even a better solution, at least I hope so.
So there is no reason for us to blame the rich people.
It does not make sense either to speak in that way about the banks, the brokers and the governments.
Just imagine if your Mn would cost 1 mlrd, where would you go to have it save? Would you keep it at home? What if there was no banks any more at that time, as the period I'm speaking about is apparently suggests? The banks are very useful, they will play a very important role in the cryptofuture, and the same thing the brokers and the governments.
I think TRC has to be different from the other cryptocurrencies, more mature, with the new insights on the reality, it will be the reason of our success, if we'll be saying the same things already said 6 years ago by the early BTC adopters, who will care about TRC?
That's why I'm asking whether that paragraph may be changed. If we'll be able to find the solution I'll vote for this video.
I also invite the author of the proposal to visit sometimes mattermost to exchange his ideas about the videos he'll be doing for us before he'll be publishing the proposals, because the proposals section is not a good place to discuss, there is no time to mature ideas here, and the good initiatives risk to be killed here because of comma put in the wrong place.
